What is a clay bar treatment?

Clay bar treatment uses a detailing clay to lift contaminants that have bonded to the paint surface and are not removed by washing. It leaves the paintwork smoother and is an important preparation step before polishing, waxing or ceramic coating.

What is the difference between waxing and ceramic coating?

Both add a protective layer to your paintwork. Wax is a traditional protective finish that also adds depth to the look of the paint. Ceramic coating is a longer-lasting protective layer, and Dirty Detailing UK offers it as a 6-month or 12-month option. We can talk you through which suits your vehicle.

How long does ceramic coating last?

We offer two ceramic coating options: a 6-month coating and a 12-month coating. You can choose shorter-term or longer-term protection depending on your needs. How the vehicle is used, washed and stored also affects how any coating performs over time.

Do you remove dog hair from car interiors?

Yes. Dog hair removal is part of our interior detailing, lifting embedded pet hair from seats and carpets.

What does a stage one polish do?

A stage one polish is a single machine polishing stage that refines the paintwork, improving gloss and clarity and reducing the appearance of light swirls and dullness. It is a refining stage rather than a full paint correction.

Can you clean wheels and wheel barrels?

Yes. Wheel washing covers the wheel faces, and wheel barrel cleaning reaches the inner barrel where brake dust and grime build up. Tyres can then be finished with tyre shine.
